The Kings Take Game 1 In Overtime

The Los Angeles Kings opened their first-round playoff series with a 4-3 comeback victory over the Edmonton Oilers. Alex Iafallo scored the overtime winner, converting Viktor Arvidsson’s feed from behind the net on the power play at 9:19 of OT. The Kings erased a two-goal third-period deficit, with Adrian Kempe scoring twice and Anze Kopitar adding a goal and three assists. Joonas Korpisalo made 38 saves in goal for the Kings. The Oilers got two goals from Leon Draisaitl and one from Evan Bouchard, while Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner stopped 31 shots in his NHL playoff debut. The Oilers will look to even the series in Game 2 on Wednesday.
