A New Day In New York

For the first time in Yankee history, a person wearing an official New York Yankees uniform with long hair was seen on the field. Since George Steinbrenner purchased the team in the 1970s, the Yankees have not allowed beards or hair below the collar. However, during the recent series with the Cleveland Guardians, Yankees bat boy Nate Rosenhaus was seen with his long hair tucked into his helmet, and this sight drew attention from many Yankee fans, who called into the radio show of the Yankees’ play-by-play announcer Michael Kay to complain. Rosenhaus was the drummer for a Cleveland band called The Open Doors. His band gained over 1,000 new followers on Instagram after posting a photo of Rosenhaus and Rizzo wearing their shirts in the Yankees’ clubhouse, and they have booked a show in Brooklyn next month.
