Despite the absence of Paul George, the Los Angeles Clippers managed to overcome Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns in Game 1 of their opening-round series on Sunday night, winning narrowly with a score of 115-110. The game was closely contested throughout, with the Clippers ultimately securing the win thanks to a crucial stop from Russell Westbrook in the dying seconds of the game. After blocking Devin Booker’s shot, Westbrook managed to keep the ball in play by slapping it into Booker’s leg, allowing the Clippers to regain possession and seal the victory.
