Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has signed a record-setting five-year, $255 million extension, making him the highest-paid player in the NFL regarding annual salary at $51 million per season. This deal will impact Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, and Justin Herbert’s upcoming contracts. Jackson, who reportedly wants a value in the neighborhood of $200 million, should not be affected much by Hurts’ deal, while Burrow may use it as an example of what he could be looking for in his next contract. Herbert, reportedly seeking an annual salary of at least $50 million, could now request a deal to make him the league’s highest-paid player.
