On Tuesday, the Winnipeg Jets won 5-1 against the Vegas Golden Knights, taking a 1-0 series lead. However, the victory may have come at a cost, as forward Morgan Barron suffered a skate-to-face injury during the game, which could have ruled him out for the remainder of the series or even the playoffs. Despite receiving 75 stitches, Barron returned to the bench in the second period and resumed playing, wearing a full cage on his head. His determination to return to the game impressed Jets coach Rick Bowness, who said that Barron’s presence back on the ice boosted the team’s morale. Jets center Adam Lowry also praised Barron’s bravery, comparing his injury to that of a shark attack. Barron had played 70 games for the Jets this season, scoring eight goals and making 13 assists.
