Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is under investigation for an alleged assault/battery that took place at a Miami Beach marina, authorities confirmed to USA TODAY Sports.
The Miami-Dade Police Department said the alleged incident took place on Sunday. No further details were provided. WPLG-TV in Miami reported that Hill got into a disagreement with an employee at Haulover Marina in North Miami Beach and allegedly hit the employee.
The incident took place the same day Hill was on a fishing trip with his agent Drew Rosenhaus, who was seen on video wrestling a shark in the water.
“We are aware of the situation and have been in contact with Tyreek, his representatives and the NFL,” a Dolphins spokesperson told the Associated Press. “We will reserve further comment at this time.”
Hill is entering his second year with the Dolphins after spending six seasons with Kansas City Chiefs. He caught 119 passes for 1,710 yards and seven touchdowns in 2022.
